Project: Simulation of the thermal behavior of furnaces and incinerators.

Objective: Optimize the design of a rain shield that protects them.

Study:

• OpenFOAM convective thermal transfer.
• Octave models of surface to surface radiation.

Result:

• Temperature curves were obtained for equipment walls, rain shields and interfaces between different zones of insulation.
• Final design proposal for the rain shield.
• Absolute redesign of the inner layers of insulation.
