Customer: Pan American Energy

Study: Simulation of various windbreak geometries in front of tower equipment.

Objective: To evaluate the possibility of operating them in a safe condition in moderate winds.

Result: The fields of velocities and pressures were obtained in a three-dimensional domain, indicating that it was not safe to place a structure to cut the wind at those speeds. The convergence of the vortexes generated after avoiding this structure becomes a greater danger than the wind itself.
